Born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, Edie moved to La Jolla, California, when she was 24 years old. There she opened her first shop, The Light Fantastic. Later, she became a travel agent, moved to San Francisco, and travelled the world.
Always fascinated with art and antiques, Edie eventually became the manager of the downtown San Francisco Therien & Co antiques store.
In 1991, she opened the Edith Caldwell Gallery near San Francisco’s Union Square. The gallery specialized in contemporary, representational artwork. Edie, and the gallery, eventually moved to Sausalito, and then Rockport, Maine.
Eight years ago, Edie retired and moved to Santa Barbara. She has now reopened her gallery in downtown Santa Barbara with additional antique and vintage furniture and home accessories.
She looks forward to sharing her unique finds with you.
